Phelan-McDermid Syndrome is a rare disorder and is the result of a damaged or missing protein on the 22nd chromosome. There are fewer than 1000 individuals worldwide that have been diagnosed with this Syndrome. Because it is such a rare disorder, every donation and every contribution raised for the Foundation is critical for research, awareness and education for Logan’s future. Please know that Phelan-McDermid (22q13 deletion) Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization and donations may be tax deductible: (ID#04-3673104). As with any donation, please check with your tax-preparer to determine the extent of your donation
At 4 months, Logan was diagnosed with Phelan-McDermid Syndrome, also known as 22q13 deletion syndrome. Since Logan’s diagnosis, he has seen many specialists and receives occupational and physical therapy, speech therapy and specialized schooling. Common features of this syndrome include delayed or absent speech, developmental delays, low muscle tone, kidney and respiratory problems and digestive issues just to name a few. Logan is 7 now and we have decided to hold the 2015 6th Annual “Cruise for 22q” motorcycle run and dinner fundraiser “Logan’s Heroes.” The funds raised are helping so much!! Please see pmsf.org for all the wonderful news/information on how your money is helping these kids!!
We were so successful last year and are looking to increase that this year!
Please join us on Saturday, August 22, 2015 for a great ride and a great cause!
